The climate is hot and humid in summer, when temperatures can surpass 44°C. It is scorching hot from May to October. It very seldom rains in winter, and temperatures vary from 10°C to 20 °C. Be aware of the significant temperature variation from day to night. At night time, in winter, the temperature can drop to 0 °C. The best season to visit is from November to May. Very rough winds called 'shamal' come from the gulf, along with sand storms in the summertime.
