Ingredients for 6 people:
- 4 large onions
- 250g flour
- 1 teaspoon cumin
-1 tablespoon of baking powder - 10g salt
- 2 eggs
- 450ml milk
- 200g bread crumbs
- Peanut oil
Cut the onions into 3mm rings and then separate them. Keep to one side.
In a salad bowl, mix the flour, cumin, baking powder and salt.
Beat the eggs and milk in a bowl and then mix with the flour. Whisk.
Dip the rings into the mixture until well covered. Place on a grill to drain the liquid.
Put the bread crumbs in a deep bowl. Dip the rings one by one into the bowl and cover well.
Heat the oil in a fryer at 185°C.
Fry two or three rings at a time for around two to three minutes until they reach a nice golden colour. Place the rings on an absorbent paper to get rid of the excess oil. Serve straight away or keep them warm in the oven.
