For 6 people:
- 1 slice of pumpkin (1 kg)
- 2 large potatoes
- ½ liters of water
- 20 cl of cream
- 1 egg yolk
- 3 sprigs of chervil
- 1 pinch of nutmeg
- Salt and pepper

Peel the pumpkin and the potatoes and cut into cubes. Then sweat them in a pot with a knob of butter for a few minutes. Cover the potatoes and pumpkin with water. Add salt and pepper and cook for 30 minutes. Mix it all together.
Put the cream, egg yolk, and a pinch of nutmeg in a bowl. Take the pan off the heat and add the mixture to the hot soup. Check seasoning and adjust if necessary. Before serving, add the chopped chervil.
