Colonial mark at the temple doors - Cambodia

Opened in spring 2003 the Victoria Angkor Hotel displays a refined setting with a pinch of nostalgia which is perfect for the exploration of the Angkor Temples. Sixth establishment opened by the Victoria group, the Angkor hotel sums up very well the history of the Victoria chain, through its architecture, décor and commercial philosophy of this young chain, implanted in Vietnam for five years now. The equation is a simple one: many tourists visiting ancient French Indochina are motivated by the nostalgia of the colonial era, which has since been glorified and even embellished by stories and films. The interior designer Brigitte Dumont de Chassant has also had a hand in this. The 1930s buildings are mixed with Khmer culture style (clay roof tiles), the 120 rooms and 10 suites are all decorated with local materials.
