Lefty O'Doul's, situated on Union Square, has been there for over 50 years. There is a high probability that you will bump into former baseball players and nostalgic fanatical fans of the city's former team, the Seals. These lovers of baseball will quite happily recount this oh so glorious period in American sport and share with you their memories and anecdotes. Open every day, you can sample good old all-American food and enjoy the piano bar. Lefty, who was team mates and friends with the likes of Joe Di Maggio and Babe Ruth, has recreated a sports atmosphere in the bar with photos of old players decorating the walls. It remains to this day the meeting place of all sports fans in San Francisco.
