The oldest and largest Chinese quarter in the United States, Chinatown was wiped off the map by an earthquake in 1906. Before the disaster, numerous small roads and secret passages hid opium dens and brothels. Today's new quarter is a shadow of its former self. Everything you might expect to find in Beijing or Hong Kong is available in Chinatown San Francisco.
