Opinion A beautiful property in a tranquil corner of Yalikavak, luxury on a budget.

Advantages Helpful service, the spacious rooms, the delicious food, the great views over Yalikavak from the pool.

Disadvantages About 18km from Bodrum town centre, so you'll need a car to get around.

Run by a lovely Turkish husband and wife team, what was once a struggling family auberge is now a chic yet unpretentious boutique address. The antithesis of the huge, brash all-inclusive clubs that are so characteristic of the Bodrum area, the 4 Reasons Hotel + Bistro will impress not only for its local charm but for the excellent and personalised service from its hosts. Indeed, the '4 reasons' are serenity, design, quality and attitude; four areas where they wish to excel - and so far they haven't done a bad job!
