Opinion One of the oldest hotels in Canberra and the building is now classified by the Australian National Trust as an historical building.
Advantages Looks quite charming as though it should be in England rather than Australia.
Disadvantages Some parts of the hotel look a little dated although that may be the look they are aiming for with the furnishings!
The hotel is pretty and built in a sort of mock English style but it is quite old.
Our room was pretty big and had all we needed including tea and coffee and a modern flat screen TV but the furniture was dated but maybe that was to be in keeping with the style of the hotel.
The hotel was pretty convenient for the city but Canberra is very spread out so you really need a car.The gardens were really lovely.
We didn't eat here as the food was expensive in the restaurant and breakfast was not included.
Not as far as I could see.
None as far as we could see apart from the bar and restaurant and the gardens.
Good to know There was free parking and the gardens were nice but the hotel just seemed to be a bit dated to us.
