Opinion Great location and room with a view but too many costly extras such as wifi, no room fridge and a small room too.
Advantages Great location close to Magnificent mile and walking distance to most sights. Nice roof top pool and comfortable beds.
Disadvantages Small room, tiny bathroom and extra charges for use of wifi in the room and a fridge too as you couldn't touch the mini bar with charges.
The staff were a bit superior and not that helpful. the hotel was very smart, clean and perfect for exploring the city as it was centrally located but I felt that the staff could have been more helpful pointing out that you could charge meals in the pub attached to the hotel to your room and get loyalty points that way. they would not add them after we had paid cash. $50 a day to park a car, $10 a day for wifi in the room, $20 a week for a fridge in your room.
A pleasant room with two comfortable double beds, mini bar, safe coffee making stuff and a tiny bathroom. We had a good view of the city to Trump Towers and beyond.
This is where the hotel comes up best as it was around the corner from the Magnificent Mile and you could walk to Navy Pier and most other places provided you don't mind a bit of a walk.
The hotel breakfast was so expensive we didn't eat there. The pub - Elephant and Castle was better value and had we been informed that we could put meals eaten there on our room bill I could have claimed priority points for those but no -one told us.
The roof top pool was pleasant and there was a small fitness room. The pub attached did have a TV to watch the Euro 2012 matches and there was a quiz on Tuesday night.
None really at the hotel. they would book tours for you.
Good to know Don't use the mini bar it costs if you even move something. The wifi in the business centre in the hotel if free - ask for the password -so don't pay to use it in your room.
