Sao Tome's most beautiful beaches are located South from the capital city, like that of Praia Piscina. Near the unmissable Praia das Sete Ondas (Seven Wave beach), lies the blowhole Boca de Inferno (Hell's mouth). For a dive, choose the Lagoa Azul beaches (and its numerous baobabs), Ilheu das Cabras, Praia Pequena and Praia das Conchas. From the charming village of Porto Allegre, in the south of the island, it is possible to catch a boat for a picnic on the small island of Ilha das Rolas, whose main attraction is that it is located exactly on the equator line.
