Senegal : learn all about the climate
Climate and Seasons
Senegal has two seasons. From October to June, the weather is dry and sunny. Temperatures remain around 25°C. July to September is the rainy season. Showers are quite moderate in the centre and on the coast but much heavier in the south. Temperatures shoot up with the humidity (on average 30°C). The sea is usually 21°C in the winter and 27°C in the summer. The best time to go is between October and June when the temperatures are cooler and the tracks in the south are not waterlogged.
