Dakar has several different faces depending on the district you visit. If you're looking for a change of scenery, walk around the medina, pay a visit to the Tilene market and explore the courtyard of the Moors where you will find quite a few jewellery shops. Not far from there is the Great Mosque, the architecture of which was inspired by Rabat's. You can climb to the top of the minaret, where you'll be rewarded with a very beautiful view of the city.
