Some rare bird species live in the Seychelles: black parrots in Mai Valley (photo), magpie robins on Frégate, the Seychelles warblers on Cousin island and Seychelles whydah now only on La Digue (photo) in La Veuve reserve. You will also see more common birds, such as tropic birds, frigatebirds with their 7 foot wingspan, gannets and terns, the archipelago's emblematic bird, used as the national air company's logo. It is also common to encounter sea gulls, Mauritius blue pigeons, doves and sparrows easily attracted with a few crumbs left on a side of your plate.
