Tiwai Island Wildlife Sanctuary

Tiwai Island Wildlife Sanctuary in the southeast is one of the smallest reserves in the country, but probably one of the richest in wildlife. Located on an island of the Moa River, it is home to crocodiles, hippopotamuses and monkeys. There are also over 120 bird species, which will delight any ornithologists.
