The coasts are the main tourist attraction of the Solomon Islands. Indeed, the beautiful white sandy beaches bordering the turquoise waters are very popular with tourists and the locals. The Solomon Islands are a genuine paradise for both experiendced and amateur divers, who come here to enjoy the underwater world.
Located between the Coral Sea and the Pacific Ocean, the Solomon Islands have plenty of diving sites where you can discover the magnificent coral reefs and the sunken war ships dating from WWII.
Covering 270miČ, the Marovo Lagoon in the west of the archipelago shelters an ecotourism village. An application has been submitted to put the site on the UNESCO World Heritage List.
