The rigorous management of the national parks and reserves in South Africa gives the advantage of offering each visitor a glimpse of local wildlife from their car. It has adopted strict rules, so that human influence does not adversely affect the wildlife (it is forbidden to get out of the car, step off the roads or drive). For this reason it offers you the opportunity to immerse yourself in nature without damaging the environment. The ecosystem management provides a high standard of tourism as well as protection of the natural heritage; these reserves are mainly situated in the regions of Mpumalanga and Kwazulu-Natal (often bordering the national parks).
