  • The Pretoria motto

Administrative capital of the country, Pretoria is situated at some 37 miles away from Johannesburg and almost seems integrated to the suburbs of the latter. Pretoria is known for its "strongly conservative mentality", credited to the social momentum that has gripped the rest of the country. The city does not offer many sightseeing opportunities, but offers a pleasant atmosphere with a specific charm in autumn, due to the flowering jacarandas. If you wish to stay there, you can visit the house of Paul Kruger (60, Church St.), the zoo (Paul Kruger St.) and the Union Building (Struben St.)
