A total of 600,000 Vendas live in northern Limpopo. Physically, their features come from ancient crossbreeding, with Arab merchants who used to trade in this region years ago. Their ancestors were known to excel in iron mongering. They practice the same rituals and traditions as their ancestors and are faithful (mainly women) to the traditional attire. They sell and exhibit their pieces of arts and crafts to the west of Thohoyando, where you can also visit their villages and marketplaces.
