Part of the 'Garden Route', this region offers beaches with fine sand as far as the eye can see. At the end of the 19th century, a woman married a man who promised her that they would live in the middle of nowhere. So he found this place and gave it the name of "Wilderness". Since then, the area has turned out to grow into a small but pleasant seaside resort. It is located not far away from the Wilderness National Park, which comprises of more than 6,454 acres covered with rivers and marshes. Five tracks provide access to the area. Beware! According to many rumours, confirmed by local people, this park is haunted?
