For those interested in city culture, Korean cities are fascinating, particularly the enormous Seoul. Very modern, with buildings covered with huge video billboards running sequences of film clips and advertising, Seoul is distinguished by formidable energy and an almost limitless overactivity, both day and night. With restaurants, shops, cafés, karaoke bars, discotheques, the opportunities for amusement are limitless. In Seoul, the most lively districts for are Apgujeong, Itaewon (very appreciated, particularly by numerous American soldiers permanently stationed in the country), Insa-dong or Sinchon, a favourite place for the student population.
