Estepona is a seaside resort that is becoming increasingly renowned for its marina. Overlooked by the Sierra Bermeja, it offers many outdoor walking and hiking opportunities, such as climbing the Pico de las Reales (4,754 ft) from where you command an exceptional view of the coastline right through to Gibraltar and, on a clear day, to the Moroccan coast. Handicrafts such as pottery, wooden furniture and leather shoes are also very popular here. Estepona also happens to be one of Spain's gastronomic towns par excellence, and its speciality is the local goat's cheese.
