Maspalomas is the main seaside resort of Gran Canaria. The sand dunes (of the same name) stretch out for miles in a setting worthy of 'Lawrence of Arabia'. Here you feel like the Sahara is not far! These moving hills overlook beaches that offer all sorts of seaside activities. Very developed, the Playa del Inglčs is the beach with the most tourists, while to the east, the town of San Agustin offers more tranquility.
