Las Salinas de Janubio are the largest salt marshes on the Canary Islands. They are a traditional source of work and business. Here, the sea water brought to the basins evaporates, leaving a thin layer of salt at the bottom. The sunset over the basins of the salt marshes is absolutely magnificent. The colours of the salt (white, grey, pink), against the backdrop of the sea and volcanic land, are superb.
