The popular animal park, Loro Parque, is close to Puerto de la Cruz, in the north-western part of Tenerife. Discover the Antarctic at Planet Penguin, with an iceberg home to over 200 penguins. Attend the show performed at Orca Ocean, where you will be amazed by the strength and agility of the killer whales. This is also the opportunity to watch the dolphins doing acrobatics, the sea lions and the brightly-coloured parrots. You will also be able to take a stroll through the exuberant vegetation, discovering birds and other animals from the four corners of the world along the way. The attraction of Katandra Treetops is something of a surprise, with the birds singing above your head. You will feel as though you've travelled all the way to Australia when crossing the bridges hanging from the trees and following tracks in the jungle, in search of very original species. The birds will come right over to you, feeding from your hands, and, as they fly away, you'll be able to experience the sight of their colourful feathers. You will be able to discover many of their secrets, and come face to face with very rare and mysterious Australian animals.
