Ciutadella is brimming with charm; the myriad alleyways of the old town border various palaces, yet only the Palau Salort, built in the 19th century, is open to the public. A unique remnant of the original city destroyed by the Turks in 1558, the Minorca Cathedral has a striking 17th century façade. Surrounded by cafés and palm trees, the Plaça de Born was built by the Moors, then reconstructed in a Renaissance style during the 16th century. Continue your tour with a visit to the gothic style City Hall and a walk around the port.
