Travel is my driving force in life, and although I have had the privilege of visiting 30 countries so far, my heart will always remain in India...

Santander brings together all sorts of assets: it is close to nature, the shoreline is perfect for swimming, its cultural and architectural heritage is great, and all sorts of daytime and nighttime services and leisure activities are available. The architecture of the city is representative of its history: from the Palace of Magdalena to the Cathedral of Santa Maria de la Asunción, via various churches, small palaces, and other buildings of interest, most of which were renovated after the great fire that devastated a part of the city in 1941. The setback Playa del Sardinero, which became known over a hundred years ago, has been a major tourist centre for several decades now thanks to the good swimming conditions and its promenade. Moreover, some interesting villages lie all around the outskirts of Santander, giving you direct access to the surrounding nature.
