Reaching out over 127,000 acres, the emblem of this natural park is a rare and protected tree species called the Spanish Fir. This pine has survived as a result of the heavy rains of the region. Composed of Mediterranean forest vegetation, the highest point is 5,427 ft, with plenty of caves, gorges, and rocky cliffs some 1,312 ft high. The park spreads right out to the province of Malaga, over nine communal towns of the Cadiz province.
