The largest island in the Balearic archipelago is a paradise filled with natural resources. Thanks to a formidable mountain ranges, the northwest coast of Majorca is protected from the cold winds of the north. With steep cliffs, gorgeous landscapes and stunning views, the cordillera stretches from the Bay of Pollencia until Cape Formentor.
The picturesque villages of Valldemosa, Banyalbufar (literally "the place where the wind always blows" in Arabic) and Estallenchs are nestled in the red rocky landscape, providing a striking contrast with the colours of the sea. There are golden sandy beaches along the bays of Alcudia and Pollencia and small coves on either side of the cordillera. The beach of Formentor, one of the best on the island, is accessible by car or boat from the Port of Pollencia.
