You will discover beautiful panoramas all along the coastal road. Between Lorient and Grand Cul de Sac, a beautiful view unfolds before your eyes of the islands of Fregate and Toc Vers as well as Pointe Lorient. Take a drive on the east road between Petit Cul-de-Sac and Anse du Grand Fond (which is overlooked by Morne Vitet, the island's highest peak at 938 ft) as from the very top of it you will have a superb view of the landscape and the sea. In this region, the terrain is arid, stony and scattered with frangipani and cereus cacti; the fields are enclosed by low stone walls, it really is worth seeing.
