Sudan : discover authentic cuisine

 Gastronomy

The traditional local dish is a combination of fool, a type of bean, and dura, cooked corn or millet, served with vegetables. However, the hotels and restaurants in the major cities serve international cuisine and you can also find some restaurants serving Greek and Middle Eastern cuisine. The consumption of alcohol is forbidden by Islamic Law, known as 'Shariah'.
