Shopping
The souk is full of stalls where merchants sell food, spices, arts and crafts, and jewellery. Visitors may appreciate the work of the basket and cabinetmakers and even watch artisans work with gold and silver. Do not purchase any items made with monkey skin. Monkeys are protected by the World WIldlife Act and hunting them is prohibited! The shops are open from Saturday to Thursday, from 8:00am to 1:30pm and from 5:30pm to 8:00pm.
