Travel is my driving force in life, and although I have had the privilege of visiting 30 countries so far, my heart will always remain in India...
Lying at the heart of central Switzerland, the Quatre-Cantons lake area is the homeland of William Tell. Nature, tranquility and leisure are all on the menu. Sarnen, curled up on the banks of a lake with pristine waters, is the ideal starting point of a walk through romantic forests, meadows and mountain pastures. Stans is a charming town from which you can also access to cable cars running up to the peak of the Stanserhorn and Bürgenstock. A dizzying journey that culminates in a breathtaking panorama. Engelberg is one of the top-ranking ski resorts in Switzerland and has a rotary-cab cable car, the "Rotair". Eleven peaks with panoramic views are accessible with lift facilities, including Titlis and Brunni. The towns of Altdorf and Uri are worth a stopover for their cultural heritage, while Andermatt, another top-notch winter resort lying in the heart of the Gothard massif, is a favourite destination for mountaineering and trekking in summer. From Arth-Goldau and Vitznau, you can climb the famous Rigi by train to the summit that opens to an astounding panorama.
