Perfect for short safaris, the footpaths of the Mikumi National Park will lead you to the kingdom of zebras, elephants, giraffes and wildebeest. Located in the region of Morogoro, this park is made up of a chain of mountains and the Mikumi flood plain. It is named after a sort of palm tree growing in the region. Spread over 1,247 square miles, Mikumi Park is among the most popular in Tanzania. It is part of the Selous reserve which is the biggest nature reserve in Africa, stretching over 21,236 sq mi.
