Manyara National Park stretches over 127 sq mi, most of which (77 square miles) is covered by the lake named after it. At the foot of the park is the small village of Mto wa Mbu, famous for its copious fruits. Heading west, the horizon is cut by the cliff of the Rift Valley, while in the southeast rests Lake Manyara. Home to hippopotamuses, this vast waterway is also home to several pelicans, storks and pink flamingoes. In the park's far south you'll discover a hot water spring which can be as hot as 80°C!
