Touched by the Andaman sea in the west and the Gulf of Siam in the east, the Kra peninsula is famous for its beaches. Yet, other sumptuous landscape await, between thick jungles, rugged hills and the rubber and coconut plantations along the coastal plains. The Kra peninsula links the southern part of Thailand to Malaysia representing a physical and spiritual bridge between two religions, Buddhism and Islam. As you go further southwards, the stupas (Buddhist temples) give way to the mosques and their minarets.
