The archipelado is in the SouthernHemisphere where winter sets in when summer is starting in our own world. The Falkland islands are quite hostile. The climate is fresh and oceanic with persistent winds blowing year round. In winter, periods of calm weather are rare. In Stanley, temperatures in the middle of summer (January-February) reach 10°C and in winter (June-July) they are an average of 3°C. Average annual rainfall is 24 inches.
