The coast is bordered by a string of fishing villages and sand beaches littered with coconut trees. Unfortunately, the waters are not clean and the sea is highly dangerous due to its unstable seafloor and strong waves. Go for a swim at Robinson-Plage (Robinson Beach), 6 miles east of Lome, where the sea is notably less rough.
