Cool Canvas is closer to what you would expect from a hotel than a camp site with all the facilities on offer, including a swimming pool, WIFI connection and even a Nespresso machine! Located in the south of France, in the Languedoc-Roussillon department around the Mediterranean basin, it is within close proximity to the nearest beach. There are two luxury safari tents that accommodate up to four people each. The tents sit on raised wooden platforms in the woodland close to a shared pool that is an ideal setting for a small family or groups of friends.

The rooms look very comfortable, spacious and bright. The beds are queen size, while there are also two convertible sofabeds for children or additional guests. Each tent has an ensuite bathroom with power showers and fluffy bathrobes and towels. Although there is nothing particularly environmentally friendly here, the toiletries are eco-friendly.

Open from March to October. Prices range from £110 for a night to £960 for a week (from Saturday to Saturday) for a maximum of four people per tent, although special arrangements can be made for larger groups. The price includes breakfast. For full details see the Imagine Cool Canvas website.
