Find yourself in some of the Med's most glamorous spots with Royal Caribbean's 14 night western Mediterranean cruise aboard the Independence of the Seas. Pushing off from Southampton, there are three nights of sailing before reaching the first stop, the British overseas territory of Gibraltar. The next day, the ship calls into Cannes on the French Riviera so you can hob-nob with the jet-set and sample the delicious Provencal cuisine. This is followed by a day in arty Barcelona where Gaudi's Park Guell and the Sagrada Familia are must-sees, and two days on the Balearic Island of Mallorca, where the nightlife is jumping. Into the second week, you're taken to Alicante and on to Lisbon (Portugal), where a stroll around the lovely old neighbourhood of Alfama should work off all the pasteis de nata you'll have eaten (tip: the best are in Belem). The last stop is in the pretty town of Vigo on the north-west coast of Spain, before cruising back to Southampton. This is a classic cruise with a variety of popular Med destinations seen at a leisurely pace.
