By dreaming up and displaying future technology of the world, Futuroscope invites its visitors to get lost in an atmosphere of the not-yet-now. Futuroscope, situated near the west coast of France, recently welcomed four new additions, one of them a nocturnal spectacle illustrating the theme of music and sound waves (conceived by Yves Pepin). For half an hour children and parents are brought into the surreal world of Mike, a DJ that must battle his virtual competitor DJFX, in order to demonstrate how sound is diffused. Another new attraction is a 'journey' to the depths of the Milky Way, with visitors learning the workings of the galaxy and its planets. The Astro Mouches ('astral flies') are also part of the park's newer developments; this attraction takes you on Apollo 13's mission into space followed by a fascinating short 3D film. Finally, the Ecodingo catapults you into the future, all the way to 2052. With over 25 interactive adventures, Futuroscope has really nailed the balance between learning and entertainment.
