Sea World, of which there are three in the United States, offers a complete family experience with its mix of shows, rides and exhibits. Killer whales are the headline act of the shows, leaping and splashing to the music, against a spectacular back drop, and with the aid of state-of-the-art multimedia. Come night time and you can experience the show with the added thrill of a firework display. Sea lions can also been seen strutting their stuff day and night, while other daytime shows feature a host of other creatures. The traditional side of theme parks is also represented here in the form of several sea-themed rides. In addition to the ever-popular water-based thrills, kids and adults alike can enjoy 'flying' fish, 'rocking' eels and 'spinning' sea stars. For something a little more relaxing though, climb aboard the Skyride cable bar for a spectacular view over Mission Bay. If you feel like getting up close and personal with the animals, Sea World boasts a range of experiences from the Penguin Encounter to the Flamingo Cove and so much more in between. You can arrange your own personal tours of the park, including a sneak peek behind the scenes as well as special personal feeding sessions or even a short training course.
You'll find everything else you need to know here on the official Sea World (San Diego) website.
