The luxury Six Senses resort and Spa is extremely well-known for its 'six sense concept': its treatments encompass relaxation through all five senses as well as a sixth sense: equilibrium. The resorts can be found in Thailand, the Maldives, and the Middle East as well as in Europe. The Six Senses are about beautiful luxurious locations and their exclusive 'six sense concept'. The spas, in-keeping with local architecture and making use of local materials, are all equally magnificent, set in gardens of water and flowers. The spa uses products from the Australian brand, Sodashi, which contains essential oils and natural extracts of lime, cardamom and bergamot, to name a few. The ingredients are also used for herb wraps, flower baths and salt exfoliation treatments. There are four resorts in Thailand so far, and our favourite has to be the Samui-based spa. An experience of a lifetime; hidden away toward the northern tip of Koh Samui island, the resort is buried in lush green vegetation for maximum privacy. Boasting jaw-dropping panoramas of Slam Gulf, this resort is unmissable. Every villa is stunning, from the 'hideaway villa' high up above the jungle, looking out to sea, to the more obviously luxurious 'Presidential villa'. The spa is also a marvel; kitted out in Balinese wood, it also overlooks the turquoise ocean and jungle. The spa has 5 outdoor treatment rooms and 5 indoor rooms for couples, saunas and steam rooms. After the heavenly experience of the resort's treatments, a cup of delicious ginger tea is served in an open-air sitting room. Yoga and Pilates sessions are complimentary.
