Spain's largest festival and one of the most important of all, Benicàssim will take place this year between 14th and 17th July although you are welcome to camp at Villa Camp from 11th-18th July (65?). Bringing together some of the biggest names in music to the east coast of Spain, the event is the chance not only to discover new music, but also to make friends from all four corners of the world, or indeed to meet up again with ones from previous years. Spend your days topping up your tan on the beach while watching the dance displays or stroll around the town's streets admiring the impromptu theatre. Then, in the evening, take to one of the four stages to catch some of over 100 artists at this year's festival, including Arcade Fire, The Strokes, Arctic Monkeys, Portishead, and Beirut. If you can tear yourself away from this who's who of music, then there is also the Mustang Fashion Tent to check out featuring fashion shows and various DJ sessions.
