The eclectic Hangout festival is only in its second year, but it's got a lineup to knock your socks off, with headliners such as Paul Simon, The Foo Fighters, The Black Keys, The Flaming Lips, Cee Lo Green, and many other names you'll recognize. The festival takes place in Gulf Shores, Alabama, with stages directly on the white sand beaches, and long ocean views. And just because it's Alabama, don't think you can't have the time of your life. For three consecutive days (20th-22nd May) you'll have only one rule: Hangout! Sleep on the beach and wake up to the strains of songsters and seagulls, or stay in a fully-equipped condo, biking distance from the beach. It's $174 for the three-day pass, or you can enter the King and Queen of the Beach contest for a chance to win an all-expenses paid VIP trip to the Hangout.
