British Airways today announced the dates of the strike by its cabin crew, after lengthy negotiations between the airline and the unions broke down.
However, an eleventh hour offer from the airline will be put to the cabin crew in a desperate last minute attempt to postpone the strike.
But for now, the cabin crew will strike for a total of seven days; three days beginning the 20th of March and four days beginning the 27th of March.
Even though the peak Easter times have been avoided (as promised by Unite), significant disruption to the BA network is expected over the Easter break.
BA insists it will do everything possible to have the majority of its flights operational.
Unite said that further industrial action will be scheduled after the 14th of April should there be no resolution to the dispute.
