Direct Eurostar services to Avignon

This summer, Eurostar is offering direct weekly services to Avignon in the heart of Provence.

The service will run from 9th July to 10th September 2011. The journey will take approximately six hours.

Outside of the summer period, Eurostar offers connecting services, which take just under six hours to arrive into Avignon TGV station, which is located just outside the town centre.

Direct tickets are available from £109 return in Standard class and £249 return in Standard Premier. Connecting fares are also available from over 300 towns and cities across the UK, including Cambridge from £131 return, Birmingham from £133 return, Bristol from £139 return and Newcastle from £149 return.

There will be nine services weekly from St Pancras to Avignon Centre next summer, starting on Saturday 9th July 2011.

A word about Avignon train stations:
Avignon Centre Station is the city centre station and is distinct from Avignon TGV station, which is on the TGV Med high-speed line. A shuttle bus operates between the two stations, which runs about every 20 minutes and takes approximately 10 minutes. Cost is approximately 3 euros for a single journey.
