Easyvoyage flagship site approved for transparency.
As of Tuesday earlier on this week, French e-commerce federation (FEVAD) has produced a label guaranteeing the integrity of price comparison websites, known as the 'Charte Comparateurs' otherwise a set of specific criteria which price comparison sites are to respect in order to be FEVAD-approved.
Only six comparators have been accepted under the label so far and the Easyvoyage flagship website for the French market is happy to have received the honour.
Nathalie Kosciusko-Morizet, French secretary of the state for digital economy, explains: "At a time of such financial despair, the consumer must now, more than ever, have access to the full information about products on offer". This does bring to surface an important point today; with the uncountable amount of price comparators on the web, it has become tricky, time-consuming and frustrating to have to sift through mounds of comparators with the end result often leaving a sour taste of disappointment. A federation to regulate the sites on offer saves a lot of hard work.
Overall, the companies having signed up under the FEVAD logo vow to be completely transparent in the classification of their products, to give visitors full information on the products on offer, as well as to carry out regular updates of these products and information.
Easyvoyage has existed for over eight years now and began with its French website, followed by its Spanish, Italian and British sites. The entire Easyvoyage network functions according to the same regulations as the FEVAD-approved flagship site.
All companies wishing to operate under the FEVAD regulations will be subject to a mandatory audit to verify the criteria put forward by the federation.
