The latest airline to offer in-flight connectivity to its passengers is Egypt Air, allowing them to use GSM, SMS and GPRS services from their mobile providers while on board.
The airline's newest Airbus 330-300 has been equipped with the means to do so, also permitting air travellers to use WIFI connection during their flight.
The technology will be available across the company's fleet of A330-300s by February 2010.
This aircraft will operate Middle Eastern, North American and European routes.
Egypt Air joins other carriers from the region - Oman Air and Libyan Airlines - to offer this type of service on board its flights.
Qatar and Emirates have also recently announced their plans to offer connectivity services to their passengers in the near future.
