Travel website lowcostholidays.com has announced a sale of up to 50 per cent off some of the world's top destinations for the late booking traveller.

The website has a wide range of seven night packages for 50 per cent off or less, on stays booked before 31 August. It is offering deals on two person getaways, with flights included, to popular resorts in the Algarve, Tenerife and Malta, as well as to further destinations such as Egypt and Mexico.

Otherwise, holidaymakers can choose to book just a hotel, with prices starting from just over £70 for a hotel in Alcudia, Majorca.

The site now also provides detailed reviews of the hotels it offers, complete with ratings, photos and useful information for your arrival. Reviews give a comprehensive overview, as well as information on food and drink and its suitability for families or couples.

Travellers will have to be relatively flexible with dates, as offers tend to be for a particular arrival date with no option to switch.
