Monarch announces help for Kiss customers

Transport 03/03/2011

Following the Kiss collapse earlier on this week, Monarch has announced extra flights and a special discount to assist Kiss customers who are looking to rebook their holiday.

In addition to the five additional flights will operate between Gatwick and Dalaman in Turkey starting next month, Monarch has also launched a special discount to encourage customers to head to Spain, Portugal, Gibraltar and Cyprus this winter. By entering the code 'KISS' when booking a flight via the Monarch website, customers can enjoy £10 off return flights across all of Monarch's scheduled routes for travel from 01 November 2010 to 30 April 2011.

Managing Director of Monarch Airlines, Tim Jeans said "We are seeing the strongest demand for flights to Dalaman from customers previously booked with Kiss Flights and are delighted to be able to offer these additional flights from Gatwick. We will continue to monitor the situation closely with a view to adding further flights to destinations that may be required.

"We are also pleased to offer a special KISS discount across all of all of our scheduled flights this winter season, as it's not just those that have been immediately affected by the demise of Kiss Flights, but those with forward bookings as well."

Monarch is one of the UK's largest leisure airlines, operating both charter and scheduled flights, carrying over 6 million passengers per year. The airline is the principal independent supplier of charter seats to tour operators large and small, flying to around 50 destinations across Europe, America, Africa and Asia from the UK's principal and regional airports.

The scheduled service division of Monarch Airlines offers low cost services from Birmingham, London Gatwick, London Luton and Manchester Airports to destinations in Spain, Portugal, Gibraltar, Cyprus and Turkey.
